Job Description

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable **Counsel** to support legal operations across multiple business lines in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The ideal candidate will work closely with commercial, marketing, tax, finance, and technical teams to ensure legal compliance and provide strategic legal counsel.

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate governance, including organizing board meetings and drafting resolutions for legal entities in the region.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel, managing budgets and legal outsourcing where necessary.
• Support PR, advertising, and marketing initiatives with sound legal advice.
• Negotiate and draft agreements and amendments across all lines of business including licensing, ad sales, and branded partnerships.
• Maintain updated databases and templates for all legal contracts, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
• Participate in regional strategy meetings and cross-functional collaborations.
• Conduct research on upcoming legislation and assess impact on business activities.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of commercial contracts and legal structures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
• Experience advising on regulatory and compliance matters in advertising and digital media.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Proficient in handling legal governance and policy development.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal degree.
• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales or in another relevant jurisdiction.
• Prior experience with DTC/OTT services and awareness of privacy and consumer law is preferred.
• Arabic-speaking is a plus but not essential.
• Experience working in or with Middle Eastern jurisdictions is desirable.
• Competence in drafting legal documents from scratch, tailored to new scenarios.
