Job Description

This position involves managing multi-discipline engineering projects, particularly involving Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), with full technical responsibility, including design integration, configuration management, and compliance with safety codes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Navy crane engineering projects with full technical responsibility.
  • Prepare and review designs ensuring safety, efficiency, and code compliance.
  • Coordinate regional crane configuration and CRISP standards.
  • Provide consulting expertise to military and civilian personnel.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must obtain/maintain valid U.S. driver’s license and Secret security clearance.
  • DAWIA certification required within designated timeframes.
  • Travel (CONUS/OCONUS) may be required, including on military aircraft.

Qualifications

  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
  • GS-13 level experience in engineering design and project management for WHE.
  • Experience preparing reports and technical presentations for management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
  • Alternatives include EIT/FE certification or closely related scientific degrees with experience under PE supervision.
