Job Description

We are seeking an Impact Officer to join the Helix Centre at Imperial College London. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team focused on healthcare design innovation, tackling pressing challenges across health equity, digital care, and system transformation. This full-time hybrid position is based at the St Mary’s Campus in Paddington, London.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to shape strategic decisions and secure new opportunities through grant and proposal writing.
  • Drive adoption of completed projects by promoting toolkits and outcomes to NHS providers, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support project tracking by establishing KPIs and OKRs to measure impact effectively.
  • Plan and prepare content for key meetings including memos, slides, and pre-reads.
  • Contribute to the onboarding and recruitment process including job advert drafting and improving internal systems.
  • Assist in stakeholder communications and ensure smooth contract agreements, including collaboration and research proposals.
  • Develop materials to support professional development and internal team learning processes.
  • Promote the Helix Centre’s mission through communication in academic and industry forums.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Proven project management experience with good knowledge of related methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams that may include engineers, designers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in building and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Patience, resilience, and a structured approach to creative problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of emerging healthcare trends and innovations.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience relevant to this role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
