Job Description

We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Associate to join our Boots Digital Health team based either in London (Islington) or Nottingham HQ. This is a full-time, permanent role, and we’re open to flexible or part-time working arrangements for the right candidate. You will report to the Compliance Manager and support the wider organisation in managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Data Impact Assessments and contribute to the drafting and reviewing of policies and SOPs.
  • Keep business-wide risk registers updated and aligned with corporate standards, supporting risk scoring and action tracking.
  • Monitor and research regulatory developments relevant to Boots Digital Health (CQC, GPhC, MHRA, GMC, etc.).
  • Administer policy updates, reviews, and approvals within designated timelines.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and track non-compliance issues to closure.
  • Generate risk and compliance reports for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Respond to Subject Access and erasure requests in line with policy and SOPs.
  • Support ad hoc tasks across departments relating to risk, data, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance in healthcare, digital health, or NHS settings.
  • Experience performing within tight deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with corporate risk administration and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence process improvements.
  • Experience managing compliance and quality audits effectively.

Qualifications

  • Risk qualifications such as IRM Certification (preferred).
  • Background in a tech startup or scale-up environment (desirable).
  • Experience or working knowledge of NHS, healthtech, or healthcare compliance.
