Job Description

Sainsbury’s is offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your retail management career through the role of Customer and Trading Manager in our convenience store network. You will lead in-store operations, motivate a team, and ensure seamless service to our customers throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the shift with a decisive, organised, and inclusive approach while managing performance and time for your team.
  • Ensure customers experience exceptional service by maintaining product availability and smooth store operations.
  • Collaborate with fellow managers to plan shift patterns, peak trading times, and team deployment.
  • Deliver comprehensive shift handovers to the next Manager to maintain operational continuity.
  • Champion a culture where colleagues feel empowered to offer ideas and solutions.

Requirements

  • Ability to inspire and guide a team in a busy retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and resource allocation capabilities.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail or customer-facing management role preferred.
  • A passion for food and excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
