Job Description

We are hiring two proactive, well-organized, and enthusiastic Assistants to join Arts Council England. These roles support dynamic departments such as Engagement and Audiences, Diversity and Inclusion, and the Midlands Operation Team, offering flexible and hybrid working opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative support including data entry, record filing, and archiving.
  • Support workload planning, minute-taking, and coordination of meetings.
  • Manage diaries and organize internal/external schedules.
  • Run support systems and assist with team communications.

Requirements

  • Excellent digital, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organization and multitasking ability.
  • Familiarity with administrative processes and stakeholder liaison.
  • Interest in cultural engagement, audiences, and diversity.

Qualifications

  • Relevant administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Understanding of hybrid working and flexible coordination.

Contract Details

  • MBN53: Fixed-term maternity cover (Nov 2022 – May 2023).
  • MB22: Fixed-term until 31 October 2023.
  • Both roles are 35 hours/week (full-time).

Work Location

  • MBN53: Based in Nottingham or Birmingham.
  • MB22: Based in Birmingham.
  • Hybrid model with 1–2 onsite days/week.
