Job Description

We’re hiring an energetic and passionate **Assistant Store Manager** for our Croydon location. Join Aldi and help lead a high-performing team while maintaining exceptional store standards and driving customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly communicate with the Area Manager on sales, stock control, and financial management.
  • Ensure a high-performing team delivers consistent customer service and store standards.
  • Drive store sales while ensuring efficient and co-operative team dynamics.
  • Oversee employee development, performance, and daily operations.
  • Take ownership of store property, cost controls, and achieving KPIs.
  • Make impactful short and long-term operational decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership abilities and passion for team success.
  • Ability to minimize operational costs while maximizing productivity.
  • Operational mindset with proven experience in team and resource management.
  • Commitment to maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or store management is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
