Job Description

HM Treasury is seeking a dedicated and proactive Diary Manager to support the Chief Secretary to the Treasury (CST). This is a unique opportunity to work closely with Ministers and experience high-profile government processes firsthand.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the CST’s diary, ensuring balance between ministerial, parliamentary, and personal priorities.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and visits, including briefing preparation and travel arrangements.
  • Process and assess all incoming invitations for meetings, receptions, and public speaking engagements.
  • Support the office with electronic filing, FOI requests, transparency returns, and general administration.
  • Assist private secretaries with office duties, including welcoming guests from reception.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment and deliver a professional, proactive service.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Confidence in working independently and making effective decisions using sound judgment.

Qualifications

  • No formal qualification required, but experience in diary management or civil service is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across departments.
